Are mobile devices changing the future of security?
Recently at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Philadelphia, I learned how public safety officers are increasingly using smartphones and technology like Samsung's innovative docking system DeX in the field.
I spoke with City of Post Falls Police Chief Scot Haug, law enforcement veteran Dale Stockton, Blueforce Development Corp’s Michael Helfrich and Samsung’s Jan Ruderman about whether smartphones would ever replace in-vehicle laptops. Hear their answers here.
Check out some other applications of DeX in my interview with Steve Sieron, senior alliance manager, Citrix Systems, at Gartner’s 2017 Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando, Florida.
And speaking of making a big difference in the field...
Back in New York, I joined Samsung to celebrate their partnership with Sprint and WeWork, who announced a new type of marketing called B2We (learn more here). Myself and other attendees (including a humanoid marketing platform named Pepper) were treated to a fireside chat hosted by SamsungNext, an organization that matches entrepreneurs with experienced founders to help startups reach the next level.
