This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Intuit. The opinions and text are all my own.

When Intuit asked me if there was a #GirlonFire I might want to nominate for their SXSW contest, the answer was an easy JESS. ;)

In 2012, while still in college, Jess Ekstrom founded Headbands of Hope, an organization that gives a headband to a child with cancer for every handband sold (200K globally).

I met Jess two years ago when she interviewed me for an Entrepreneur article about building authentic relationships, when I also learned that Jess and I had a common belief.

Jess and I both believe that you shouldn’t have to choose between making a living and making a difference.

For that reason (and many, many others) I’m proud to nominate Jess for Intuit’s #GirlonFire contest!
