Last month I attended #AdAgeNext, a two-day marketing conference in New York that featured speakers including Girlboss CEO Sophia Amoroso, Endeavor CMO Bozoma Saint John and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

My biggest takeaway from the conference: Now more than ever, companies are focused on the “human element.” To stay on-brand, I asked attendees and editors about some of the problems their organization is solving WITHOUT technology. Head to Ad Age to see some of my favorite answers.

And speaking of being human, head to Northeastern University's Experience Magazine for my tips about exercising restraint on social media.

We talked about everything from best content practices and how to set your rates, to how to approach brands and balance client and personal content.

Thanks to all who joined the conversation, and to the University of Florida for finally accepting me! ;)
