Hard to believe it's been over a year since I've been working as Samsung's Video Correspondent!

Last week I joined the Samsung Business team in Las Vegas for the 84th Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Conference, where I talked to experts about the latest advancements in Samsung DeX.

The docking station allows the smartphone to be extended into a desktop experience, which is helping to improve the work flow for public safety officials.

In other Samsung innovation news, have you tried out the S Pen? The Bluetooth-enabled, click-on-command pen makes the mobile experience even more convenient. Both the DeX and S Pen are available on the new Galaxy Note9.

InfoComm 2018 was lit – literally.

This month in Las Vegas, I loved learning about the latest innovations in digital signage like microLED display technology. I also had the pleasure of talking to BJ Vander Linden, CIO of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, about how digital displays in arenas and stadiums can create a better experience for fans.

Between this and Samsung's Aviation Summit this month, I'm flying high from all the groundbreaking innovations!

CE-yes!

If you followed along Samsung Business' Instagram Stories this week, you may have seen some of my favorite CES moments, from Samsung's self-driving, 5G-connected car tech to the company's new digital whiteboard, Flip to chats with industry experts like Deloitte's Jay Samit and J. Gold Associates' President and Founder Jay Gold about the ways enterprises are adopting AR and other smart technologies.

While in town, I stopped into to visit my friends at Fox5 Las Vegas to share my top five social media trends of 2018. (You check them out here.)

I also got to check out Dell and Nikki Reed's new line of sustainable jewelry made entirely from old-school Dell computer motherboards. Congratulations on the launch! (And shop the collection here.)

But my trip wasn't all work and no play. Shoutout to Google, Microsoft and Lenovo for throwing some stellar parties, and to Cirque du Soleil for another incredible The Beatles LOVE performance.

Watch to catch a shark?

During a recent trip to Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of interviewing Shark Tank's newest judge (and baseball great) Alex Rodriguez for Entrepreneur about what it takes to impress him - and why he'll only invest in brands that are a good fit for his personal brand. Check out the full interview here.

And when in Vegas...

I shared my top five tips for disconnecting - from setting your schedule to limiting your tech - with Fox5 Las Vegas. Check out the full interview here
