Why Him? Screening

As a nice Jewish girl who's never once brought home a nice Jewish boy, I relate very personally to the premise of 20th Century Fox's Why Him?!

This week, I hosted a special advance screening of the film, which stars James Franco, Bryan Cranston, Megan Mullally and Zoey Deutch.

The film features a comedy of errors, when Ned Fleming (Bryan Cranston) realizes his beloved daughter might marry an uninhibited (if not inappropriate and vulgar) Silicon Valley billionaire (James Franco).

Thanks to everyone who came out to see the film!

Catch Why Him? in theaters Friday.

Paramount Picture Presents: Arrival

The show must go on.

I recently hosted the NYC screening of Paramount Pictures' momentous new film Arrival, starring Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker and Jeremy Renner.

The film is about a monstrous extraterrestrial spacecraft that lands on earth and disrupts everyone’s lives. Residents scramble for answers and try to figure out what to tell their children - and it’s up to one strong woman to save humanity. (Sound at all familiar?) The film hit theaters Friday, so check it out!

Thanks to AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar and to the goop team for a great afterparty.

Advance Screening: NBC's This Is Us

This week I hosted the NYC advance screening of NBC's This Is Us, a show that The Hollywood Reporter noted as "the fall season's highest-rated launch to date."

The show, which features Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown, is an honest and emotional series following different groups of people whose lives cross in unexpected ways. Written and produced by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love.) is about family, love, life and everything in between.

Don't forget to tune in Tuesdays at 10|9c (and starting October 11, 9|8c, after The Voice).

Light Between Oceans

This week I hosted an advanced screening of The Light Between Oceans, featuring Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander and Rachel Weisz. (Pro tip: waterproof mascara is your friend if you're going to see this movie).

I invited some of my closest friends, bloggers and editors to join me for the screening at AMC Empire 25 and an intimate after-party at Spyglass Rooftop, where we enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and fab NYC views.

Thank you to everyone who joined me for the screening and after-party, to Getty for the photos, Bloomerent for the flowers, and to Disney and DreamWorks Pictures for having me host this special event.

Bad Moms Night Out

Channeling the Jewish mom in me, this week I partnered with Bad Moms for a special VIP New York advance screening of the film, which stars Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell.

The screening was followed by an after-party at Beautique, where guests, including some of my closest friends and mommy bloggers, enjoyed cocktails and browsed products from event partners Graco and Cuddl Duds Baby

Thank you to Getty for capturing the event, BloomThat for the lovely flowers and to our fabulous event partners.
