I would 10/10 would recommend Samsung’s newest reveal. ;)

I traveled to San Francisco last week for Samsung’s Unpacked, where they introduced the newest additions to the Galaxy family, revealing an exciting future for the smartphone. The new S10 generation was redesigned to remove interruptions, with a Dynamic AMOLED infinity screen and simple screen touch unlock feature—all of which make managing my business and sharing content on the road easier.

And speaking of sharing content, head to ForbesWomen for my latest article on why you’re not getting as many likes on your content as you’d like (hint: it has to do with your friends).

Last week, I trekked to sunny Orlando with Samsung to learn about the latest in global healthcare at HIMMS 2019.

During the conference, I had the pleasure of talking with Maria Lensing, Vice President at AT&T, and digital health influencer Evan Kirstel about how digital transformations, such as 5G, impact hospitals and healthcare technology.

Also in the Samsung Lounge, I interviewed legendary NFL Hall of Famer Jack Youngblood about brain health and the innovative technologies that help diagnose and treat concussions.

See you next year, #HIMMS19!

“We’re 16+ years after 9/11, and we still have a massive inoperability problem.”

Last month, I joined Samsung Business in Orlando at #IACP2018, where I interviewed Blueforce Development CEO Mike Helfrich about the importance of mobile solutions in coordinating emergency response efforts across multiple public safety agencies. Tap here to learn more.

Mobile technologies are becoming increasingly important for public safety - and for the safety of first responders. I spoke with Verizon’s Associate Director of Business Products Ana Ossa about the subject (interview here), and Alex Popof about the unique benefits of body cameras.

Thanks to everyone at IACP who took the time to chat with us!

InfoComm 2018 was lit – literally.

This month in Las Vegas, I loved learning about the latest innovations in digital signage like microLED display technology. I also had the pleasure of talking to BJ Vander Linden, CIO of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, about how digital displays in arenas and stadiums can create a better experience for fans.

Between this and Samsung's Aviation Summit this month, I'm flying high from all the groundbreaking innovations!

The Switch to Samsung

The secret's out!

As you may know, for the past year, I’ve been Samsung’s Video Correspondent (happy one year, Samsung Business USA)!

But, what you probably don’t know is that my personal phone... is an iPhone.

You read right.

I’ve been an iPhone user for 10 years – so the idea of switching galaxies (see what I did there!?) has been intimidating.

But, I need a phone that won’t die on me in the middle of the work day. I want to be able to take important business calls and charge my phone at the same time (I don’t think that’s asking too much!) That’s why I'm finally making the switch.

Learn more about why I finally made the switch here

Samsung recently unveiled its Galaxy S9, a phone that's reimagining the way we live and work.

As a business owner, I'm especially excited about this phone, which offers more security, intuitive design, multitasking capabilities and a better and larger display when I need to work on the go.

Speaking of innovative tech making a difference in people's lives, I got a look at the latest in healthcare at #HIMSS18 in Vegas last week, where Accendowave CEO and Co-Founder Martha Lawrence talked to me about the new ways to manage pain. Watch our interview here. For more on health and tech, check out my segment on Fox5 Las Vegas, where I shared my top healthcare apps.

And while tech clearly has a positive impact on our lives and health, safety and security are growing priorities. I also got to check out Dell and Nikki Reed's new line of sustainable jewelry made entirely from old-school Dell computer motherboards. Congratulations on the launch! (And shop the collection here.)

But my trip wasn't all work and no play. Shoutout to Google, Microsoft and Lenovo for throwing some stellar parties, and to Cirque du Soleil for another incredible The Beatles LOVE performance.

Are mobile devices changing the future of security?

Recently at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Philadelphia, I learned how public safety officers are increasingly using smartphones and technology like Samsung's innovative docking system DeX in the field.

I spoke with City of Post Falls Police Chief Scot Haug, law enforcement veteran Dale Stockton, Blueforce Development Corp’s Michael Helfrich and Samsung’s Jan Ruderman about whether smartphones would ever replace in-vehicle laptops. Hear their answers here.

Check out some other applications of DeX in my interview with Steve Sieron, senior alliance manager, Citrix Systems, at Gartner’s 2017 Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando, Florida.

And speaking of making a big difference in the field...

Back in New York, I joined Samsung to celebrate their partnership with Sprint and WeWork, who announced a new type of marketing called B2We (learn more here). Myself and other attendees (including a humanoid marketing platform named Pepper) were treated to a fireside chat hosted by SamsungNext, an organization that matches entrepreneurs with experienced founders to help startups reach the next level.

As a freelancer and small business owner, having a reliable, multi-functional mobile device is essential. Samsung recently #Unpacked its latest phone, the Galaxy Note8, featuring a dual camera with optical image stabilization, S Pen stylus — and a bigger-than-ever screen. Does bigger mean better when it comes to business? I talked to Samsung's Eric McCarty to find out.

Learn some of my other keys for business success in this article from CNBC, in which Lisa Ferber documents how I've built relationships with brands like American Express, Samsung and Shark Tank's Mark Cuban.

Exploring Europe with Samsung

As a social media entrepreneur, my work keeps me traveling about the half the year, and while I get to see a lot of new places, I don't always have time to explore everything.

This summer my work took me to Europe with my close friend and photographer, Whitney Tressel, where we only had a couple days at a time to sight-see. Samsung's Bixby Vision made it easier for us by helping identify landmarks — like Schönbrunn Palace and the Natural History Museum — right from the Galaxy S8 camera.

It also helped me translate menus, so I could enjoy meals at the likes of Emiko Restaurant in Munich; the Michellin-starred Field Restaurant, and Ginger and Fred at the incredible Dancing House Hotel in Prague; and KOLLÁZS and Araz Restaurant in Budapest. Special thanks to Chef Marvin Gauci and Caviar and Bull Budapest for ending my week in Europe on a high note with some of the most creative dishes I've ever had.

Thanks to the Samsung DeX docking station, I was able to keep up with work emails while I made my way around Europe, without the hassle of carrying around a laptop. Learn more about DeX here

Cheers to Hilton Hotels Prague for taking such good care of us; Sofitel Munich Bayerpost and Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich (where Obama stays!) for a suite stay; the adorable Hotel Schani Wien in Vienna for a memorable visit; the gorgeous Kempinski Hotel Budapest and Continental Hotel Budapest for fun views and incredible service; and the Széchenyi Bath for some much needed relaxation time.

Weeks like this are why I do what I do. Check out this CNBC article for some of my top tips for achieving success as a freelancer.

Now it's back to NYC, the home office and reliable WiFi (thanks New York Times)!

Braking for Innovation with Samsung

It's been an exciting summer exploring innovation with Samsung.

Back in June, I had the chance to check out FedEx's new, first-of-its-kind Samsung-authorized repair center in the heart of New York City.

I also talked to Samsung director of marketing Jon Wong about the costs associated with losing a phone for both the individual and businesses.

Can't imagine a reality without your phone? (Me either.) So I spoke with Accenture's wearable technology leader and pioneer Brent Blum about the best use cases for virtual reality and augmented reality.

And when it comes to VR, it's no surprise that Samsung leads the pack.

In July, I got to tour Samsung Bus, which features everything from the Samsung DeX station to the Knox security platform to virtual reality.

The bus will be going on a nationwide tour to spotlight Samsung's latest products and business solutions, so stay on the look out!

Virtual Reality Takes Flight

How do you solve a big enterprise problem on a small watch screen?

I talked to mobile app development company, Mokriya, about how technology should only be integrated as a problem-solving tactic. Check out full interview here

I also had the pleasure this week of talking to San Diego International Airport's director of innovation about how virtual reality is taking flight. Check out my interview with Rick Belliotti here

Outsmarting Smart Devices

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Samsung. The opinions and text are all my own.

Some devices are smart, but not all are intelligent and certainly not all are secure.

Back in May, I traveled with Samsung to the Enterprise Wearable Technology Summit, where I spoke with Erik Bjontegard, founder of Spark Compass, about how the company is maximizing the capability of smart devices with new information-based technology. See the full interview here

I also had the pleasure of speaking with Samsung's SDS' business development manager for enterprise wearables, Gabe Murphy, about how Samsung works to protect data on not only phones and tablets, but smartwatches and other wearables.

Check out that interview here

Talking AR, VR with Samsung

Last month, I traveled with Samsung to San Diego for the Enterprise Wearable Technology Summit, where I had the opportunity to chat with a dozen technology experts to discuss the impact of virtual reality, augmented reality and wearables in business.

The future of VR is bright, from improving public safety to training employees and everything in between. Check out my full interview with Librestream Technologies' Jereme Pitts and Samsung's Gabriel Murphy.

And with VR comes great possibilities. Bharat Saini, founder and chief technologist of Hipaax, shared with me some of the advantages of wearables in the workplace. (Fun fact: Samsung recently announced its partnership with Hipaax to advance the incorporation of smartwatches in the workplace.)

I also spoke with Samsung's Wonjin Kim about what makes smartwatches help businesses run efficiently. Still don't believe the benefits of wearables? Just watch.

Shifting Gears with Samsung

Very excited to announce that as of this week, I am Samsung's new video correspondent, creating enterprise content for their blog and social channels!

We kicked off our partnership at the Enterprise Wearable Technology Summit in San Diego last week, where I interviewed several wearable experts and also asked them: What’s something you can’t do on today’s smartwatch that you wish you could?

Check out all of the answers here, and stay tuned for more on my latest partnership!
