Long Shot Advance Screening

Last week, I got to host an advanced screening of Long Shot, in partnership with Lionsgate. In the film, Seth Rogen plays the role of a journalist who falls in love with the next President of the United States, played by Charlize Theron (she has my vote). If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the trailer (I dare you not to laugh).

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to see the film, and to AMC Lincoln Square for hosting us!

Samsung Flips the Script on Business

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Samsung. The opinions and text are all my own.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Samsung. The opinions and text are all my own.

I FLIPping love this company, in case you couldn't tell!

Head to the Samsung Business blog to learn how Samsung Flip is changing the workplace as we know it. And while you're at it, head to BizBash to hear how my top social media and tech trends (as shared during my Digital Entertainment World talk in L.A. last week.)

Speaking of innovation, I recently joined Samsung in sunny San Diego to attend AFCEA West, where data ruled the day. I had the opportunity to speak with Chris Stalzer, principal, Mil/DoD liaison at Juggernaut.Case about how data drives innovation in the federal workforce. Check out the full interview here

We also recently hit the Music City Nashville, where I had the honor of speaking to executives at Samsung's National Sales Meeting. Stay tuned for some exciting Samsung news in the coming days!

And working with an amazing company like Samsung got me thinking about business relationships. Check out my latest interview in Entrepreneur.

Teacher for a Day at NYU

This week, I had the opportunity to guest teach an NYU class, sharing the story of how and why I built my business.

From getting laid off from Rolling Stone in 2008 to starting my own company in 2010, I explained to the class how the setback turned into an opportunity to transition from print to digital.

Shoutout to NYU for inviting me and to the passionate students who took the time to learn a little bit about the world of digital and social media.

Alienware Miami

Don't hate the player.

Thanks to Alienware and Dell for inviting me to Miami this week to talk about the power of influencer marketing on my home turf. I spoke about everything from the importance of influencers for small businesses to recognizing influencers are paid for their time, not their opinions.

See you again soon!

Why Him? Screening

As a nice Jewish girl who's never once brought home a nice Jewish boy, I relate very personally to the premise of 20th Century Fox's Why Him?!

This week, I hosted a special advance screening of the film, which stars James Franco, Bryan Cranston, Megan Mullally and Zoey Deutch.

The film features a comedy of errors, when Ned Fleming (Bryan Cranston) realizes his beloved daughter might marry an uninhibited (if not inappropriate and vulgar) Silicon Valley billionaire (James Franco).

Thanks to everyone who came out to see the film!

Catch Why Him? in theaters Friday.

The New Age of Buyer Behavior

In the last 60 seconds, 216,000 photos were posted to Instagram, 1.8 million likes were given on Facebook and 72 hours of video footage was uploaded to YouTube.

From mobile and wearable devices to social media and blogging, the impact of our constantly-engaged digital landscape is forever changing how consumers engage with brands. This past Thursday I had the pleasure of joining [L]earned Media for a candid conversation about the new age of buyer behavior.

Joining me on the panel were Evan Kraut, Managing Director of Grey Adventures, P.J. Pereira, Founder of Pereira & O'Dell, Brian Shimmerlik, Founder/CEO of Vengo Labs, Rupert Maconick and Executive Producer of Saville Productions.

Thanks to [L]earned Media for inviting me to participate in a great conversation.
