Making Privacy My Business with 3M

As a social media consultant, I often spend my days traveling between different companies' offices to advise them on marketing strategies.

And – as a result – on any given day, my "office" ranges from the backseat of a Lyft to a client's conference room to the streets of New York!

According to a study by the Pew Research Center, 59% of employees also take their jobs outside the office – making visual hacking a threat to both full-time employees and contractors.

Enter 3M, who are pioneering screen protection products for phones, laptops, tablets and more.

We all know the feeling of someone looking over our shoulder at our screen – but don't roll the dice person! That person may be visually hacking your info.

Make privacy your business, and learn more about 3M's solutions here.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of 3M. The opinions and text are all my own.

Alienware Miami

Don't hate the player.

Thanks to Alienware and Dell for inviting me to Miami this week to talk about the power of influencer marketing on my home turf. I spoke about everything from the importance of influencers for small businesses to recognizing influencers are paid for their time, not their opinions.

See you again soon!

Best of CES 2017

Happy new year!

I started 2017 off - as many internet entrepreneurs do - in Las Vegas at CES.

Partnering with Dell, I hosted a music/tech dinner with Intel and The Glitch Mob, a brunch with Dell/Microsoft/Alienware - and I even took over Dell's Instagram for the week to share live moments from all!

Shout-out to some other clients and friends I got to hang out with, including Scripps Network, HGTV, Food Network, Twitter, Facebook, Google, Refinery29, Medialink, Jaguar, Altec Lansing and American Express.

See you next year!

Dell EMC World

The women in Fifth Harmony aren't the only ones working from home.

This week, I traveled to Austin for Dell EMC World to chat about the millennial workforce and how this generation is re-defining how and where work gets done. Huge thanks to Dell for having me and to Jordan Howard and Brian Fanzo for a great chat!

If you missed it, you can catch my live interview on YouTube.

Palm Springs Film Festival Tech Day

Don't hate the player - or the game.

This week, I sat down for a panel discussion with three video game producers at the Palm Springs Film Festival's ShortFest to talk about the creative process - and how the internet is revamping the video game industry.

Alongside me were filmmaker and creator of Kismet David Chontos, Senior Producer of Narrative Content at Cloud Imperium Games John Schimmel and chairman of the Writers Guild of America Videogame Writers Caucus Micah Wright

From the growth of mobile gaming to crowdfunding to social media, head to Forbes for my full article about the event, and Facebook Live for the full Q&A.
