About Late Night

A huge shout-out to the company who made my advance screening of Late Night possible with over 200 women in attendance - MMLaFleur, a women-owned, women-run clothing brand with a gorgeous NYC showroom (that also makes my lovely dress).

Before the screening, I spoke with Ladders about how to improve the sometimes arduous relationship between boss and employee. Read my tips here - and also find out what we can learn about workplace behaviors from the movie.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to the see the film - we’ll catch you next time!

Everyday I'm Hustle-ing.  ;)

Shoutout to the one and only Rebel Wilson for co-hosting this month’s The Hustle screening with me, in partnership with 1-800-Flowers.com.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the screening, to Bryant Park Hotel for the great screening venue, and 1-800-Flowers for the beautiful blooms.

Long Shot Advance Screening

Last week, I got to host an advanced screening of Long Shot, in partnership with Lionsgate. In the film, Seth Rogen plays the role of a journalist who falls in love with the next President of the United States, played by Charlize Theron (she has my vote). If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the trailer (I dare you not to laugh).

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to see the film, and to AMC Lincoln Square for hosting us!

Dinosaurs were spotted this week in Chelsea… at the premiere of Christian Voigt’s Evolution photography collection at the UNIX Gallery.

To celebrate, I invited some of my closest friends, bloggers and media to join me at UNIX’s new location, where we kicked the night off with introductions by Dr. Mark Norell of the American Museum of Natural History.

Thank you to everyone who came out to see the exhibit, our speakers and to Zonin Wines for the beverages.

I would 10/10 would recommend Samsung’s newest reveal. ;)

I traveled to San Francisco last week for Samsung’s Unpacked, where they introduced the newest additions to the Galaxy family, revealing an exciting future for the smartphone. The new S10 generation was redesigned to remove interruptions, with a Dynamic AMOLED infinity screen and simple screen touch unlock feature—all of which make managing my business and sharing content on the road easier.

And speaking of sharing content, head to ForbesWomen for my latest article on why you’re not getting as many likes on your content as you’d like (hint: it has to do with your friends).

Last week, I trekked to sunny Orlando with Samsung to learn about the latest in global healthcare at HIMMS 2019.

During the conference, I had the pleasure of talking with Maria Lensing, Vice President at AT&T, and digital health influencer Evan Kirstel about how digital transformations, such as 5G, impact hospitals and healthcare technology.

Also in the Samsung Lounge, I interviewed legendary NFL Hall of Famer Jack Youngblood about brain health and the innovative technologies that help diagnose and treat concussions.

See you next year, #HIMMS19!

As e-commerce becomes a staple of the shopping experience, retailers are tasked with finding new ways to connect and maintain relationships with their customers.

At NRF 2019 last week, I talked to Samsung’s Director of Enterprise Sales Hamshy Raveendran about some of the biggest challenges retailers face today and how Samsung is addressing those pain points for customers and brands alike.

We also got a look at some of the most exciting retail innovations to come from experts including Vala Afshar, Chief Digital Evangelist at Salesforce; social media influencer Evan Kirstel; John Soricelli, the Director of Technology and Analytics at Home Depot; and Nicole Reyhle, founder of Retail Minded.

One of the most anticipated innovations in retail? The connected home. I talked to Ian Hutchinson, head of Business Development for the Retail Vertical at Samsung Electronics America, about the relationship between future homes and the future of retail.

Until next year, NRF!

Last month I attended #AdAgeNext, a two-day marketing conference in New York that featured speakers including Girlboss CEO Sophia Amoroso, Endeavor CMO Bozoma Saint John and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

My biggest takeaway from the conference: Now more than ever, companies are focused on the “human element.” To stay on-brand, I asked attendees and editors about some of the problems their organization is solving WITHOUT technology. Head to Ad Age to see some of my favorite answers.

And speaking of being human, head to Northeastern University's Experience Magazine for my tips about exercising restraint on social media.

“We’re 16+ years after 9/11, and we still have a massive inoperability problem.”

Last month, I joined Samsung Business in Orlando at #IACP2018, where I interviewed Blueforce Development CEO Mike Helfrich about the importance of mobile solutions in coordinating emergency response efforts across multiple public safety agencies. Tap here to learn more.

Mobile technologies are becoming increasingly important for public safety - and for the safety of first responders. I spoke with Verizon’s Associate Director of Business Products Ana Ossa about the subject (interview here), and Alex Popof about the unique benefits of body cameras.

Thanks to everyone at IACP who took the time to chat with us!

The doctor is in.

Thanks to all who came out to Union Square this week to join me for a special advanced screening of NBC’s new hit med drama, New Amsterdam. I’d usually come up with some medical puns for the occasion, but this show’s going viral all on its own. ;)

Shout out to MM.LaFleur for the perfect screening outfit!

(Block)party in the city where the heat is on.

We had a blast in Miami this week with Blockparty at Best Life Festival - where we lived ours at the first-ever blockchain-powered music festival (i.e. the future of event ticketing).

The festival featured incredible performances by R&B gems including Ella Mai, H.E.R., Tobi Lou, Snoh Aalegra and more.

InfoComm 2018 was lit – literally.

This month in Las Vegas, I loved learning about the latest innovations in digital signage like microLED display technology. I also had the pleasure of talking to BJ Vander Linden, CIO of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, about how digital displays in arenas and stadiums can create a better experience for fans.

Between this and Samsung's Aviation Summit this month, I'm flying high from all the groundbreaking innovations!

Don't mess with tech!

Last week, I flew to Texas to hang out with with some of my favorite Austin-based companies at SXSW, including Dell, bumble and Kendra Scott. I also spent an unforgettable day with old and new friends (i.e. the powerhouse women in the photo above) at Dell and Create & Cultivate’s #SXSW18 brunch.

Speaking of influential people, it's an honor to be listed among some pretty cool freelancers in this Fidelity Investments IndyLife article. Thanks Fidelity!

Samsung recently unveiled its Galaxy S9, a phone that's reimagining the way we live and work.

As a business owner, I'm especially excited about this phone, which offers more security, intuitive design, multitasking capabilities and a better and larger display when I need to work on the go.

Speaking of innovative tech making a difference in people's lives, I got a look at the latest in healthcare at #HIMSS18 in Vegas last week, where Accendowave CEO and Co-Founder Martha Lawrence talked to me about the new ways to manage pain. Watch our interview here. For more on health and tech, check out my segment on Fox5 Las Vegas, where I shared my top healthcare apps.

And while tech clearly has a positive impact on our lives and health, safety and security are growing priorities. Check out my interview with NBC Tampa about how to make money while also staying safe on social media, my segment on CBS Nashville about privacy, and my tips for parents when it comes to online safety for kids, for the Today Show

Last week, I played bartender and hosted some friends for a #PeerspaceWinterWarmup cocktail party at the coolest Peerspace penthouse.

Shoutout to Liquor Labs for the assistance behind the bar and Patrón Tequila for the delicious spiked cider. (P.S. I think I'll stick to hosting and let the pros handle the booze going forward ;)
