10/10 would recommend the newest Samsung Galaxy Note 10;)

As a small business owner, frequent traveler and remote worker, I’m always looking for tech that’ll make it easier to work on the go. In 2017, Samsung rolled out the DeX platform that allowed me to take all of my work with me wherever I went, without having to lug around my laptop.

And with the new Galaxy Note10, Samsung has introduced some exciting new integrations with Microsoft Office that are making life as a remote worker ever easier. Check out my interview with Samsung’s Hamshy Raveendran to learn about the newest DeX capabilities.

And speaking of remote work, the Galaxy Note10’s iconic S Pen has a brand new remote control feature that allows me to easily - and creatively - present to my clients.

Yes we Cannes.

Three months ago, I introduced a collaboration between Ad Age and Facebook. We asked 31 thought leaders: If you could change one thing about the advertising/marketing/media industry, what would it be?

We called the group The List and charged members with identifying - and solving for - this industry challenge, with the power and resources of Ad Age and Facebook behind them.

In my latest for Ad Age, I share the full story of how The List came to be - and why we're spending the rest of the year advancing family-forward leave policies.

Plus, head to The List on Facebook to see some of our favorite moments from Cannes.

Does anyone even still own a tape measure? #AskingForMyself

The new Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has a native app called Quick Measure that lets you accurately measure a space right from your phone—which means, when I’m at home, I can easily map out new art in my apartment without having to leave marks on the wall (much to my husband’s relief).

You can also combine the Quick Measure app with the S10’s time of flight camera and AR capabilities to quickly drop tags or measure dimensions of an interior space.

Check out my interview with Samsung’s VP of mobile product marketing, Jennifer Langan, to learn more about the incredibly precise time of flight camera. Jennifer also gave me a data download on 5G technology - check out that interview here.

Pro tip when applying for a job: If it doesn't scare you a little, it's probably not the right job.

Linkedin has more than 20 million job postings, but did you know that I got my first-ever job via Linkedin?

I loved sharing my story during Small Business Week about how I got hired at Rolling Stone and now use Linkedin to hire talent for my own business.

And speaking of jobs, head to Forbes for my latest article about how to decide whether or not you should be friends with your boss on social media.

For the past three months, I’ve been working on a project I couldn’t wait to share.

Today, I couldn't be more proud to finally unveil The List, a distinguished group of 31 industry visionaries honored by Ad Age, in partnership with Facebook.

I still can't say much (the future is unwritten) but I can say that I am fired up to be working with this group to unpack, workshop and ultimately affect change on an issue that matters - from equalizing gender to de-stigmatizing mental health.

I couldn't be more proud to be one small part of this change-making program. Stay close to my social and blog to see what kinds of things this incredible group accomplishes.

I would 10/10 would recommend Samsung’s newest reveal. ;)

I traveled to San Francisco last week for Samsung’s Unpacked, where they introduced the newest additions to the Galaxy family, revealing an exciting future for the smartphone. The new S10 generation was redesigned to remove interruptions, with a Dynamic AMOLED infinity screen and simple screen touch unlock feature—all of which make managing my business and sharing content on the road easier.

And speaking of sharing content, head to ForbesWomen for my latest article on why you’re not getting as many likes on your content as you’d like (hint: it has to do with your friends).

Don't Stop Me Now | Bohemian Rhapsody

Don’t stop me now.

In case you didn’t know, I started my writing career twelve years ago as a journalist for Rolling Stone - back when all I wanted to do was write about music. So you can image my excitement when 20th Century Fox called and asked me to talk about Queen!

The influence Freddie Mercury and Queen had on both the music and fashion industry is unparalleled (not to mention, his influence on me.) It was an honor to work with 20th Century Fox on this video during #NYFW.

Congratulations to the entire Bohemian Rhapsody cast and creators for the incredible story of a monumental band, and to Rami Malek on your well-deserved Academy Award for Best Actor.

Last week, I trekked to sunny Orlando with Samsung to learn about the latest in global healthcare at HIMMS 2019.

During the conference, I had the pleasure of talking with Maria Lensing, Vice President at AT&T, and digital health influencer Evan Kirstel about how digital transformations, such as 5G, impact hospitals and healthcare technology.

Also in the Samsung Lounge, I interviewed legendary NFL Hall of Famer Jack Youngblood about brain health and the innovative technologies that help diagnose and treat concussions.

See you next year, #HIMMS19!

As a small business owner who works with dozens of brands each year, my taxes can be complicated. But they don't have to be... taxing. ;)

Credit Karma Tax lets you file right from the app, quickly and painlessly. You can take a picture of your W2 or upload it as a file so there's no need to fill in dozens of blanks, and it makes filing jointly easy (which I’m doing for the first time year)!

Head to my Instagram highlights to learn more about why I filed with Credit Karma this year (and shout out to WeWork for the great filming location)!

As e-commerce becomes a staple of the shopping experience, retailers are tasked with finding new ways to connect and maintain relationships with their customers.

At NRF 2019 last week, I talked to Samsung’s Director of Enterprise Sales Hamshy Raveendran about some of the biggest challenges retailers face today and how Samsung is addressing those pain points for customers and brands alike.

We also got a look at some of the most exciting retail innovations to come from experts including Vala Afshar, Chief Digital Evangelist at Salesforce; social media influencer Evan Kirstel; John Soricelli, the Director of Technology and Analytics at Home Depot; and Nicole Reyhle, founder of Retail Minded.

One of the most anticipated innovations in retail? The connected home. I talked to Ian Hutchinson, head of Business Development for the Retail Vertical at Samsung Electronics America, about the relationship between future homes and the future of retail.

Until next year, NRF!

I had a blast performing with the band at Rock & Roll Underground (for the 6th year in a row!) during NRF 2019 last week, in partnership with Incisiv. Shoutout to everyone who came out to watch musicians from retail brands including Nike, Christian Louboutin and Spencer’s perform on stage at the The Cutting Room - and thanks to Deloitte Digital and Adobe for their partnership on this incredible event!

When I made the switch from the iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy S9 a few months ago (after a year as Samsung’s video correspondent), I didn’t think I could be happier with a phone. Then I upgraded to the Galaxy Note9.

The switch was seamless with the Smart Switch App, and all my photos, contacts (and even background image) are accounted for on the new phone.

As a business owner who also travels frequently, my phone plays an incredibly important role in my work. One of my favorite new tools is the Samsung DeX—which transforms my phone into a desktop work station with just one cable. It’s completely changed the way I work.

Check out some other features I’m loving on the Galaxy Note9.

The doctor is in.

Thanks to all who came out to Union Square this week to join me for a special advanced screening of NBC’s new hit med drama, New Amsterdam. I’d usually come up with some medical puns for the occasion, but this show’s going viral all on its own. ;)

Shout out to MM.LaFleur for the perfect screening outfit!
