As a social media entrepreneur, my work keeps me traveling about the half the year, and while I get to see a lot of new places, I don’t always have time to explore everything.
This summer my work took me to Europe with my close friend and photographer, Whitney Tressel, where we only had a couple days at a time to sight-see. Samsung’s Bixby Vision made it easier for us by helping identify landmarks — like Schönbrunn Palace and the Natural History Museum — right from the Galaxy S8 camera.
It also helped me translate menus, so I could enjoy meals at the likes of Emiko Restaurant in Munich; the Michellin-starred Field Restaurant, and Ginger and Fred at the incredible Dancing House Hotel in Prague; and KOLLÁZS and Araz Restaurant in Budapest. Special thanks to Chef Marvin Gauci and Caviar and Bull Budapest for ending my week in Europe on a high note with some of the most creative dishes I’ve ever had.
Thanks to the Samsung DeX docking station, I was able to keep up with work emails while I made my way around Europe, without the hassle of carrying around a laptop. Learn more about DeX here.
Cheers to Hilton Hotels Prague for taking such good care of us; Sofitel Munich Bayerpost and Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich (where Obama stays!) for a suite stay; the adorable Hotel Schani Wien in Vienna for a memorable visit; the gorgeous Kempinski Hotel Budapest and Continental Hotel Budapest for fun views and incredible service; and the Széchenyi Bath for some much needed relaxation time.
Weeks like this are why I do what I do. Check out this CNBC article for some of my top tips for achieving success as a freelancer.
Now it’s back to NYC, the home office and reliable WiFi (thanks New York Times)!
