Let’s get real about Reels.
Earlier this week, I filmed an interview with FOX Salt Lake for about Instagram’s newest feature: Reels!
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Reels – a 15-second create-your-own video format - is designed to compete with TikTok. And with TikTok recently coming under government scrutiny, Instagram wasn’t shy to take the opportunity to roll out their very own competitor platform.
Ready to try out Instagram Reels? My advice is to excite and delight your audience. Think about what you can teach people. (That could be the recipe for your famous banana bread, insight on current events, your favorite skincare products – the possibilities are endless.) Whatever it may be, make it fun and engaging.
