Scaring is Caring: Halloween at the Ace Hotel

Brain cancer is a crippling disease that has touched my friend Lauren Scala and I very personally.

Many of you know that my sister Danielle was diagnosed with the disease at just 18 and lost her battle in February 2014 at 21 years old. Lauren’s father John fell ill at age 64 and passed over a little later in November 2013. Brain cancer does not discriminate by gender, age or ethnicity.

To honor our families – and raise money for brain cancer research – Lauren and I co-hosted a Halloween Party to benefit Voices Against Brain Cancer at Liberty Hall in the Ace Hotel in New York.

We are so excited to report that the event was a huge success, raising over $11K.

A special thank you to our event partners, Liberty Hall at the Ace Hotel, Yandy.com, Treat House, Luc Belaire Champagne, Oh Snap Smile Photo Booth and Hanna Lee Communications. Music for the event was courtesy of DJ Lovestory, DJ Autograph and DJ Petra.
