Main Squeeze: Natalie’s Orchid Island

You don’t have to know me well to know that I’m a fierce and unwavering advocate for women-owned businesses.

So imagine my delight when I found out that my favorite childhood juice company Natalie’s Orchid Island has been a women-owned business for 27 years!

Growing up in South Florida, my family and I always drank Florida-HQed Natalie’s Orange Juice. (My parents even joked that I drank so much of it, they named it after me!)

Last month, I had a chance to speak with the company’s namesake (and Marketing Director) Natalie Sexton.

Natalie (who has a fabulous name, amiright?) gave me the lay of the land, including that the company was founded in 1990 by her mother – and remains a family-owned business nearly three decades later.

With recent juice additions – including Orange Beet, Orange Mango and Tomato (pictured above) – business doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

And though the company has grown a lot over the years, Natalie’s Orchid Island has remained authentic food advocates, squeezing locally-sourced, minimal ingredient juices that are clean label.

Today, you can buy Natalie’s in over 30 states (including New York – phew!) and 24 countries worldwide.

Here’s to the next generation of women founders.
