There’s never been a better time to create a people-first culture at your company – whether you’re an entrepreneur or employee.
Last week, Human Resources Speaker, Writer and Entrepreneur, Laurie Ruettimann, joined me for one of my favorite Instagram Lives to-date, to talk about how to create a people-first culture.
Here are my top five takeaways:
People are people first. They’re parents first, they’re siblings first, they’re community members first. People’s worth is not in their economic value – it’s in their humanity.
A company that continues to focus on diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging at this time, is a company that’s going to last beyond Coronavirus – and everybody else.
Be transparent, establish an open line of communication and establish boundaries – and this goes for leadership and employees.
Be patient – especially during this trying time, when everyone is facing different struggles outside of work.
Employees, schedule time for your families, schedule time to work out with your trainer, establish your routines. Employers, allow your team to make time to be human.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed questions. Stay close to my Instagram for the next episode of Asking for Myself.
