Last week, while speaking to graduating SCAD students on Zoom, the above advice slipped out of my mouth. And while it sounded really snazzy and quotable โ€“ itโ€™s also super true. โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ% ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ž๐๐ข๐š ๐ญ๐จ ๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐ž ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ญ. โฃ โฃ Thatโ€™s pretty much everyone, folks.โฃ But are we treating our LinkedIn profiles like our rรฉsumรฉs? โฃ

Is your profile inviting? Are your endorsements in fields you actually want to get hired for? How often do you actually update your page?

Whether youโ€™re a student in college or a student in life, make sure youโ€™re not using social media to impress โ€“ but to impact (and if youโ€™re lucky, inspire). In this case, inspire HR people to get in touch!
